Day 1 :
After picking up our respectable MAT guests our first destination of the day will be MINAAR E PAKISTAN. Minar - e -Pakistan, literally ("Tower of Pakistan") is a tower located in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. The tower was built between 1960 and 1968 on the site where the All-India Muslim League passed the Lahore Resolution (which was later called the Pakistan Resolution) on 23 March 1940 - the first official call for a separate and independent homeland for the Muslims of British India, as espoused by the two-nation theory. The resolution eventually helped lead to the creation of Pakistan in 1947. The tower is located in the middle of an urban park, called the Greater Iqbal Park. From here we will move towards our next destination BADSHAHI MOSQUE & SHAHI QILA (SHAHI FORT) LAHORE. The Badshahi Mosque is an iconic Mughal-era congregational mosque in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. The mosque is located opposite Lahore Fort on the outskirts of the Walled City and is widely considered to be one of Lahore's most iconic landmarks. The Badshahi Mosque was built between 1671 and 1673 and by the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb. The mosque is an important example of Mughal architecture, with an exterior that is decorated with carved red sandstone with marble inlay. It remains the largest mosque of the Mughal -era and is the third-largest mosque in Pakistan. In 1799, during the rule of Ranjit Singh of the Sikh Empire, the mosque's courtyard was used as a stable and its hujras (cells) as soldiers' quarters. When the British Empire took control of Lahore in 1846 it was used as a garrison until 1852. Subsequently, the Badshahi Mosque Authority was established to oversee its restoration as a place of worship. It is now one of Pakistan's most iconic sights. whereas SHAHI QILA (The Lahore Fort), is a citadel in the city of Lahore in Punjab, Pakistan.The fortress is located at the northern end of the Walled city of Lahore and spreads over an area greater than 20 hectares (49 acres). It contains 21 notable monuments, some of which date to the era of Emperor Akbar. The Lahore Fort is notable for having been almost entirely rebuilt in the 17th century when the Mughal Empire was at the height of its splendor and opulence. After visiting MAT guests will pay tribute on the TOMB OF ALLAMA MUHAMMAD IQBAL, Sir Muhammad Iqbal, (November 1877 – 21 April 1938), was a South Asian Muslim writer, philosopher, and politician, whose poetry in the Urdu language is considered among the greatest of the twentieth century, and whose vision of a cultural and political ideal for the Muslims of British -ruled India was to animate the impulse for Pakistan. Then we will leave this destination to visit JAHANGIR TOMB. The Tomb of Jahangir is a 17th-century mausoleum built for the Mughal Emperor Jahangir. The mausoleum dates from 1637, and is located at 20-22 Wenlock Road, London, N1 7GU Info@4xportal.com Shahdara Bagh near the city of Lahore, Pakistan, along the banks of the Ravi River. The site is famous for its interiors which are extensively embellished with frescoes and marble, and its exterior which is richly decorated with pietra dura. The tomb, along with the adjacent Akbari Sarai and the Tomb of Asif Khan, is part of an ensemble currently on the tentative list for UNESCO World Heritage status. After the visit of JAHANGOR TOMB, our next stop will be SHALAMAR GARDEN, The Shalamar Gardens, are a Mughal garden complex located in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. The gardens date from the period when the Mughal Empire was at its artistic and aesthetic zenith, and are now one of Pakistan's most popular tourist destinations.The Shalimar Gardens were laid out as a Persian paradise garden intended to create a representation of an earthly utopia in which humans co-exist in perfect harmony with all elements of nature.Construction of the gardens began in 1641 during the reign of Emperor Shah Jahan and was completed in 1642. In 1981 the Shalimar Gardens were inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site as they embody Mughal garden design at the apogee of its development. After visiting this historical garden our next stop is WAHGAH BORDER/ZERO LINE/PAK INDIA BORDER. It is located at a distance of 32 km from Amritsar, Punjab, and was used by the migrants to cross the border at the time of independence in 1947. It is also famous for the Beating Retreat Ceremony, jointly followed by the Border Security Force (BSF) of India and Pakistani Rangers. After attending F: AG CEREMONY its time to move to our next destination which is EMPORIUM MALL. Emporium Mall is a shopping mall located in Johar Town, Lahore southwest of the Lahore International Expo Centre. The 11-storey mall is spread over 2.7 million square feet and is home to over 200 stores and a five-star hotel. Opened in 2016, it is the third largest mall in Pakistan after the Lucky One Mall in Karachi and The Grand Central Mall (Under construction) in Faisalabad and also one of the largest shopping malls in the world by gross leasable area.The Mall is managed by the Nishat Group. According to the mall's website, their daily estimated visitors are 44 thousand people. This will be the last destination of this memorable trip for MAT guests.
